Puffballs and a Fairy Ring

Larry writes, "Since I pass by this place most every day I've watched these puff balls grow in this spot for several years. This year is the biggest fairy ring so far. Notice the greener ring of grass. The mushrooms grow in the outer part in the green ring. These fairy rings have fascinated peoples since ancient times. I suggest reading about them--very interesting."
