AC Fire Department working on SBCA grant

A week ago, before the new guidelines on meetings were put into place, Adair County Fire department officials attended the first March Fiscal Court meeting to ask for support of a grant for $170,000 for the purchase of self-contained breathing apparatus (SBCA). The Court approved their request. Judge Executive Gale Cowan said the grant is only a pass-through using Fiscal Court, but no monies will come from Fiscal Court pertaining to this grant.
