How do birds decide who attends?

A question: I wonder how birds decide who attends the evening gathering as the sun sets? Just family members? Are they all the same kind/race of birds? Is it decided by where they are from - a whole community - maybe only the birds from Sulphur Well in one group? Or is it random - simply whoever can fit? Just wondering. - LW Comments | Permalink
