Travel: Puffins share in raising their babies

Writer/Photographer April Shepperd writes, "Mom and Dad Puffins share parental responsibilities and take turns incubating a single egg. Once their chick hatches, the parents dive up to 60 meters several times a day, emerging with a beak full of fish, eel, herring, and other sea creatures to feed the little one.
