DIY Birdfeeder from birdbath

Pam writes, "While experiencing high costs these days, I am always looking for ways to save a few pennies and use what I can around the house or yard. There are hundreds of birds at my house and I am a huge bird lover, so I have several feeders in front and back of the house. Over the course of last winter, I went thru 6 plastic bird baths which proved to be worthless in the cold.
Instead of tossing them out, just flip them over and place a weatherproof plastic dish inside the base and there ypu have yourself a perfect bird feeder. It's got a large rim for the birds to stand on as well. I have goldfinches and Cardinals in it every day, and it gets loads of birds visiting all day long. I go thru about 200 lbs of bird seed a month!" Comments | Permalink
