The Budolfi Cathedral (Danish:Budolfi Domkirke) was built in the last decades of the 14th century over and around the original St Budolfi Church (built before 1132) and was listed for the first time in the Atlas of Denmark in 1399. The church was named after St. Botolph, an Anglo-Saxon abbot and saint.
