The Jane Lampton Chapter, National Society of Daughters of American Revolution is sponsoring the giveaway of this basket of Columbia goodies - all made or purchased in Adair County or about our Jane Lampton or DAR ties - at a drawing at the lunch break on Saturday during the Mark Twain Storytelling Festival.

Following a 99-67 win over Morris (South Carolina) College on November 5, 2010, at Biggers Sports Center, Lindsey Wilson University Athletic Director Willis Pooler presented John B. Wethington with a commemorative ball to celebrate Wethington's 400th career win as Lindsey Wilson's women's basketball coach.

During his 37-year coaching career at Lindsey Wilson University, John B. Wethington's women's basketball teams won a program-best 737 games, claimed eight conference championships and made 20 appearances in the NAIA National Tournament.
Wethington, the longest-serving college basketball coach in Kentucky and the winningest active NAIA women's basketball coach, is stepping down to become assistant to the president for athletics development. Comments | Permalink Older Photos
