Scenic Adair County - historic Courthouse waiting for work

It will be an adventure when work begins to remove the wings from the historic Adair County Courthouse. Will there be room for vehicles that are almost the size of the ground floor to have enough space? How can the City and County work together to improve signage and offer alternate routes for drivers when needed? Comments | Permalink

Kentucky Color: Tiny Nest

The Great Wooded South never fails to titillate the learning gene. This tiny nest is hanging about three feet above the ground a few hundred feet from Little Pitman Creek just south of Old Summersville Road.
Yes, I just like you flew right straight to the conclusion that it might be a Hummingbird nest. However, after much research I believe the builder was likely a Vireo.
With the exception of the ink pen, I can see five or six different building materials used to construct this complex structure. Do you see them? Comments | Permalink
