More than 540 area residents toured the College's residence halls on Monday night. LWC students wore costumes to hand out candy to the visiting children. College officials say 400 bags of candy were given away during the 28th-annual event. Comments | Permalink

Drilling starts up to find oil or Old Bud or both

Miss Vicky writes, “T and B Drilling arrived the day after Halloween to see if they can’t dig out the sinkhole dweller ole Bud Mullins and see if he’s got any oil down there. He supposedly lives in the depression to the right of the drilling equipment. The Bud Mullins tale was meant to keep the neighborhood children in line when I was growing up. Don’t think it worked to well on me and my buddy Maury Moran.” Comments | Permalink
