Sandhill cranes are often heard before they are seen, and have been heard frequently passing over Kentucky in the last couple of weeks. All About Birds says that "Their bugling calls are unique and can be heard from miles away—they can help alert you to this species’ presence."

Daffodil watch 2026: neighbor of the Wellness Center
