Birds of Kentucky: Detente

Around mid day on Saturday, over the course of about ten minutes, 5 great egrets glided in for a landing at Lake Shelby. This did not sit well with one of the local Great Blue Herons, who took it upon himself to chase the egrets each time they roosted, eventually driving them high into the surrounding trees. By Tuesday, at least two of the great egrets seem to have established their right to fish alongside the local blues.

Spongebob Musical coming to The Star Theater

Joe Edmonds as SpongeBob and Joseph McDowell as Mr. Krabs, in The SpongeBob Musical, a musical adaptation of Nickelodeon's long-running animated children's sitcom SpongeBob Squarepants. The musical opens at the Star Theater in downtown Russell Springs, KY on April 21, 2023.
