The April 7, 2025, meeting of the Adair County Genealogical Society was presented by Richard Phelps at the Adair Co. Genealogy & History Research Center. He gave a rousing program on the history of the long rifle and its impact on the settlement of Kentucky and Adair County. Genealogy & History Research Center worked closely with and hosted research visits from 31 states and two foreign nations; collaborated on research and programs with Lindsey Wilson University, the Adair County Public Schools, Homeschool groups, the City of Columbia, 4-H Program, and more.
