Doug writes, "On Wednesday, July 12, 2023, we were privileged to have a Brass Quintet Ensemble from the Louisville Orchestra perform at Columbia United Methodist Church. Their selections ranged from the Renaissance era to Broadway hits and other modern compositions. The orchestra is currently on a state-wide tour performing at many venues throughout the Commonwealth.
In discussions with their representative, they are excited about future opportunities for special performances when the Columbian Theater opens this year! We are excited about a 'new birth' of the performing arts for our Adair County school students as well as our entire community." Comments | Permalink

Meet the cast: Spencer Feltner (left) plays Herald, Dorian Whitehead (right) plays King, and Olivia Polumbo (center) plays Queen in our IMAGINE! Youth Theatre production of Cinderella: Youth Edition! This special edition of the timeless, magical fairy tale includes all of the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm, and elegance.

Mentor remembered for the Jack Miller Tomato

The attorney Jack Miller is remembered for many contributions to Russell County, KY, and especially as a mentor who influenced young RCHS student Derrick G. Helm in whose office this poster hangs.
Mentor and influencer Miller is remembered by HSW attorney Helm who describes himself as a Russell County 'Lower Ender' where he grew up, and still resides - that section of southern Russell County from Esto to Rockhouse.
Ask Derrick in passing to tell you why he says, "eat a tomato in the 'Lower End' and it's likely a "Jack Miller Tomato."
