Heather says, "This black and white husky-looking dog, possibly with blue eyes, has been going up and down Westwood and around the 850 Burkesville Street area. It looks very tired."

Dr. Andrea Morrison to begin residency at UK

Lifelong Adair County summertime resident Andrea Morrison, M.D., MBA, will soon become a more permanent Kentucky resident as she begins a five-year residency in head and neck surgery (otolaryngology) at UK HealthCare in Lexington.

Dr. Morrison says, "I was elated when I opened my envelope and saw Kentucky."

Ornamental Pear trees have been in full bloom

The ornamental pear tree (Pyrus calleryana), including popular ones like 'Bradford' and 'Cleveland Select', has been in full bloom all across the region as winter ended and spring begins. The fast-growing, deciduous tree is prized for early spring white blossoms, glossy green summer leaves, and vibrant red/purple autumn color.
