Parakeet at Holmes Bend - needs to get home!

There is a little white parakeet here at Holmes Bend. He has a blue tag on his foot. He is definitely a lost pet.
He won’t survive in the wild. We need to find his owners. We can’t catch him.

Flowers and Theater thoughts around the Public Square
2023-09-29 - Downtown Columbia, KY
Zinnias may be my favorite of all the flowers that have graced the Public Square in Columbia this season. They are staying colorful and strong as fall gets started. This view takes in the Columbian Theater sign reminding us the planned opening of the restored building - it has been placed on hold by the Adair School District. Columbia Police Chief Jr Murphy retiring

Congratulations has been the word this week for CPD Chief Jr Murphy who announced he will be retiring after over two decades of service to law enforcement. He was hired by former Mayor Curtis Hardwick and started work under former CPD Chief Mark Harris. We wish him and his family all the best! Comments | Permalink
