Coming back south still gets below zero temp

Last night, Saturday, January 20, 2024, gave Adair County its deepest freeze at 7 below zero here. We didn't have quite the beautiful landscape Wendy Burt found when she visited up north, but the temperatures weren't that different. She shares this picture and writes, "My hometown, Waukesha, WI, earlier this week. Also, the temperature never got above 0!" Comments | Permalink

The Green Chair Shadow; Cane Valley, KY

Robert writes, "I bundled up with a couple layers for the extreme cold and headed to the barn. I mostly was interested in taking pics of any icicles that might be hanging off the roof. Since there was really none to speak of, I spotted the old green chair and thought it might look interesting as a contrast to all the snow. It took a few pics to finally compose a shot that featured the shadow (it took awhile to see the 'drama' of the pic would be in the shadow)." Comments | Permalink
