Some trucks needed, many need the bypass

Some big rigs have to come to the historic Adair County Public Square to make regular deliveries and we wouldn't want it any other way. However, many are either being misdirected by GPS or aren't aware of the Veterans Memorial Bypass - or aren't aware of the need because there is no signage directing large trucks to use the bypass. Metcalfe County Schools has TWO winners in the 2024 Kentucky Department of Agriculture Poster and Essay contests. Jameah Kirby is the statewide 5th-grade winner of the essay contest, and Emily Shaw is the statewide 12th-grade winner of the poster contest. The theme of this year's contest was "Agriculture for a Better Kentucky." Jameah and Emily will each receive a $100 check from KAEC (Kentucky Agriculture and Environment in the Classroom).
