Birds of Kentucky: Great Egrets

A congregation of Great Egrets in the riffles below the Upper Gates at the Falls of the Ohio this past weekend. This bit of "accidental impressionism" is an extreme crop of a photograph, where distance, heat haze, and lack of tripod all combined for a very low-fi view of the scene.
