Peyton Hughes, a 21-year-old member of the Campbellsville University Kayak Fishing Team, did not return to base as scheduled Wednesday afternoon after a solo practice for a fishing tournament in Hemp Hill, Texas. After many hours of searching by multiple agencies, his body was recovered from Toledo Bend Lake. From tournament communications, B.A.S.S. officials added their thoughts and prayers with those of the angler's family, friends and fellow competitors during this difficult time. Friends of Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery have been very busy helping with special events this season. Volunteers help in every way they can so the Hatchery can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. In this picture from earlier this month, the Wounded Warrior project was well attended by many veterans.
