Roldcat writes, "This time of year, spiders release webs of silk from their abdomens and let them fly through the air on windy days.
Catching the sunlight just right, these gossamer silk strands are shown to have clung to the tree tops of a maple tree that has shed its leaves and the silk strands are blowing in the breezes." Comments | Permalink

Joyful Hearts quilt for Veterans Day

Veronica writes, "Many thanks for the many hands who made the Veterans Luncheon at the local VFW post possible. We went in order to say thanks for our veteran, and he was awarded this homemade quilt from the local Joyful Hearts Quilting Guild. It was a very nice gift, and we followed instructions... the quilt is in use already in our living room. These type of things are what make living in a smaller rural community the best way to live!"
