Billy Joe writes, "Yes there are several thornless varieties of Honey Locust for your landscaping needs but Common Honey Locust has thorns. The thorns have been used as sewing needles, weapons, fish hooks and many other uses. I have always been fascinated by the unique metallic red of some of the thorns. Honey Locust is a legume which builds the soil and produces seed pods that are edible, just like peas." Comments | Permalink
