The home of Marlton and Beverly Loy, 600 Crestview Loop, Columbia will be on the Adair County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Home Tour Sunday, December 8th. Beverly writes, "The Loy home features a brick ranch from the early 70s. It sets on a triple lot with a scenic backyard only about two blocks from town square. Wildlife is plentiful. Our home is filled with antiques, heirlooms, thrift finds, odds and ends, and primitives. We have numerous Christmas trees throughout the house decorated for old souls and young at heart. Veronica writes, "While I like to identify birds in our local area, I spotted this bird at a bird feeder while on my trip in Germany. I believe it to be a Great Tit or a Parus major. I didnt see many birds in towns there besides pigeons... so this was an interesting find in southern Germany." Comments | Permalink

"The Riverknoll Estate" built in 1975 and named after the original architectural floor plan. This southern plantation style home features two fireplaces, with the original wood trim, imported staircase and original stained glass window installation. The home captures the perfect blend of vintage treasures and new holiday finds. Richard's taste for that classic, southern feel along with his love for decorating for the holidays makes his home warm and inviting. He fell in love with the house as soon as he saw it in 2008 and finally made it his own in 2020. With a traditional look that's been lovingly refreshed, there's always a project in the works, but Richard says that's all part of making this house a true home.
