National Crappie Tournament coming in June

Adair County Tourism Director Paige Nickel, at right, shares, "Tim Ponder, center, with The National Crappie Fishing League, drove 7 hours to come visit us and drop off flyers for the fishing tournament we are hosting June 6th and 7th! SAF State Championships at Halcombs Landing

The Student Angler Federation's State Bass Fishing Championship was held on Satuday, March 22, 2025, at Lake Cumberland. Nearly 200 boats left from Halcombs Landing in Russell Springs, KY at sunup on Saturday.
Tournament winners Caleb Watkins and Jacob Neace with the Breathitt County Bobcats brought in 5 fish, weighing 13 pounds 11 ounces, including the Daily Big Bass at just over 5 pounds.
Tate Reynolds and Blane Smith with the Russell County Lakers posted a top-10 finish with 3 bass weighing 8 pounds 8 ounces. Comments | Permalink
