Russell Glass was awarded 2nd place in his category at the 2025 Ky Art Educators Association Conference this past weekend, held at Bellarmine College in Louisville. His teacher, Adair County High School art teacher Cayce Davenport, attended the conference where art educators from all over the state came together for visual art professional development and showcase their students' works. The "Masters & Apprentices" show at Campbellsville University's art gallery featured artworks from regional art educators and that of their students. Adair County High School Senior Alex Pedro Pablo's, at left, work was among those on display as well as that of his teacher, Cayce Davenport, at right, who's work was along side the other art educators. William Montgomery's family settled near present-day Standford, Kentucky, in a cluster of 4 log cabins such as the ones above. John writes, "It was thought, at the time, that there was no danger from Indians (a belief that would prove naive)." Comments | Permalink
