Historic courthouse clock looking naked

Work has been going on for years to save and restore the historic Adair County courthouse and in recent years it has been coming together nicely, even to the delightful clock chimes. One vandal couldn't stand the progress and gave his time and energy to climbing the steps all the way up to the interior of the clock and steal the hands off the clock. What a waste.

A Piano Extravaganza opened the first day of homecoming week, Sunday October 23, 2025, at Lindsey Wilson University. The concert, free and open to the public, was well attended and wrapped up with a standing ovation for the performers - from left: Teresa Tedder, Denis Almeida, Saulo Moura, Gabriella Batista, Priscila Dickson, Gary Vidito and at far right, Clay Smith.

Kentucky Color: A pair of Walking Sticks

A Common Walkingstick, source of many erroneous legends, next to Billy Joe's legendary split tobacco stick, all dressed up with a leather hand grip and leather wrist loop, which he says is "literally by my side every step I take."
