Discovering Turner family connections

The hundred-year-old dress, now at the Adair Genealogy Center, was last worn by Trilby Vance, at right. Turner pioneer settled his family in Inroad

Pioneer Joseph Turner brought his family from Virginia to settle in southern Adair County in the late 1790s or early 1800s. The original log home, added onto many times over the years, was located in "Inroad" at the confluence of Burns Creek with Crocus Creek. The historic Turner homeplace burned in the 1980s.

Classic Ford Fairlane pulling alongside

This red Ford Fairlane pulled alongside on a recent trip through Lebanon. It's now a classic American automobile, having been produced by Ford between 1955 and 1970.
