Columbia has a couple of new authors! Local 7th graders at ACMS Jackson Corbin and Jordyn Davis have written their first novel, a murder mystery called "Too Much Blood: A Novel of Terror, Secrets, and Survival." Most of the characters in the book were based on Jackson and Jordyn's friends at school.
The book is available in paperback now from Amazon, for $6.99. Corbin and Davis are already working on their second book in the series. Comments | Permalink

Sheriff Gary Roy sworn in to Board of Elections

Adair County Sheriff Gary Roy was sworn in to the Adair County Board of Elections at the regular monthly meeting on Thursday, August 21, 2025, as required by statute.
The other three members of the Board of Elections are Adair County Clerk Lisa Greer Clerk, Chairman Ricky Collins, and Vicky Pike, who performed the swearing in. Comments | Permalink
