Picking holly berries for hungry birds

2019-03-09 - Shelby County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, Mema

They discovered holly berries - green, purple and bright red ones - within their reach and decided it would be good to pick the berries and scatter them to draw birds who could be wet and hungry. Of course no birds came around two bouncy, chatty little girls and when one got scratched by the prickly holly leaves, the effort was tabled leaving any birds in the area to fend for themselves.
