Tommy writes, "This picture was taken somewhere around the late 1980's. About half way through the tunnel, there was a slight turn and you couldn't see either opening and it was total darkness. After exiting the other side there was something less than one mile away that I considered an eye-popping marvel of engineering."

This group of concerned Adair County citizens met with Adair County Judge Executive Gale Cowan and City of Columbia Mayor Pam Hoots to proclaim April 2019 as the official Child Abuse Prevention Month in Columbia and Adair County, KY.
