The Minnows residing in Columbia's Town Creek waved their thanks to the Lindsey Wilson College Football Team on their day of service last Wednesday. The little creatures were about to be smothered by a plastic banner that had been trapped near their pond in the creek.

This much plastic and trash was collected in just about a city block measure of the Town Creek in Columbia Wednesday. Coach Chris Oliver and his Lindsey Wilson College football team got a huge 'Thank You' from residents along Town Creek for their day of service May 1, 2019. I forgot to ask if they saw any groundhogs they might dispatch as they worked along the path of the creek. - LW
