By 7:30amCT, the morning ROOK games at Coomer's Trading Post had already ended. All that was left was the boasting. Louie Loy, left, is a regular at the country store and besides his reputation as card shark and "leader of the pack", he also enjoys the country ham and sausage and biscuit. Tammy Campbell and Roger Firkins were awarded WAIN Radio’s hometown hero designation recently for always going above and beyond in their work at the Green River animal shelter, matching animals with forever homes. The Green River Animal Shelter (GRAS), 455 Appleby Dr, Columbia. They are open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am-4pmCT and on Saturday from 10am-2pmCT.
