There are signs of Independence Day at every shopping area where fireworks sales are booming. Council member Ronald Rogers reminded everyone at the City Council meeting that the July 4th Fireworks begin at the old fairgrounds right at dark on Thursday evening. Comments | Permalink

According to Wikipedia, "When it opened on December 1, 1866, the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world, with a 1,057 feet (322 m) main span. Originally known as the Cincinnati-Covington Bridge, it spans the Ohio River between Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington, Kentucky."
