Santa Fee Baptist Church is waiting to welcome its families, present members and new members who are looking for a peaceful place in which to worship. It has been in the spotlight for the past two weeks as volunteers have worked to restore the Flatwoods Rosenwald School, shown behind the church at right. Mrs. Lilly Lasley Duvall visits Flatwoods School and Church

Mrs. Lilly Duvall visited the restoration work on her one-room Flatwoods Grade School during volunteer service time. In this photo she gazes at the heat stove (thought to be a "water heater" by one young student there among volunteers) which she can remember students gathering wood for the morning fire before class time.
