Vicky Pike requested this look back at generosity in action

2019-10-10 - Columbia - Photo ColumbiaMagazine.com archive photo
Seems just like yesterday that volunteer Cynthia Rowe was appealing to Adair County Fiscal Court to help out in the areas of feeding our people from the Food Pantry and a place for young people to play at Blair Park. She was so busy helping others that she rushed out in unmatched shoes at a Fiscal Court meeting and it made Ed Waggener's news coverage in this look back in ColumbiaMagazine.com archives requested by Vicky Pike to go with her letter, 'a fitting tribute'. Thanks to all who are stepping up to fill the shoes of volunteers who have passed. Please remember to say thanks to every sponsor of ColumbiaMagazine.com for helping to provide space to share needs and solutions of our region. - LW

Have you seen Teddy the Cat?

2019-10-10 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Lucy Allen
Lucy Allen writes, "This is Teddy, he is a male unfixed cat who happens to be my son's best friend and emotional support. I took him to the vet because he had an injury to his neck and sores. There at Red Barn Vet, as we were leaving he managed to get out of the cage and ran off into the field across from the vet office. Teddy is a little over a year old, answers to his name and comes to dry food shaken in a plastic container. Please, if you see our cat (no matter the condition) contact me. He has been missing over a week and we are hoping he is trying to find his way home. My phone number is 270-370-2138, you can call or text me with any info. Thank you."
