Remembering Veterans Fred Collins and Murvin Grant

We recently discovered newspapers from the end of the war - Grandfather Fred T. Collins of Glens Fork, KY and my Grandmother had saved the old papers announcing the war was over. I couldn't believe the papers were in such great shape. I have more if your readers are interested in them. I had planned on sharing it at the 100th anniversary but hid them from myself. LOL. The Newspapers are large and hard to get in a picture that we're able to read so I made several close ups so it would be readable.
My Dad, Murvin Grant of Glens Fork, served in World War II. Very proud of both of these men.

Care packages on their way to Adair County servicemen

Three families shared that they have a serviceman overseas from Adair County and packages were put together and mailed yesterday for each of them by the Adair County Judge and Fiscal Court and staff. It's the season of giving. Comments | Permalink
