John Shelley winning player on Shelbyville team

Recently Adair Public Schools Title 1 Coordinator, John Shelley III, enjoyed a milestone birthday and friends shared memories and photos like this one from his youth. The picture is from the years when his dad was County Agent of Spencer County and John played for the Shelbyville American Legion Post 37 in 1988-89. At that time they recruited players from several counties. He remembers playing for head coach Jim Wiley and team sponsor Bobby Stratton. Comments | Permalink

You saw this fellow in a photo at the recent School Board meeting when his retirement was announced. Now see him in the role he will be moving into full time in the new year. David Jones, featured here on the cover of Crappie USA magazine. His plans are to work at building his year-round fishing guide business, Green River Lake Crappie Trips. On his website, he says, "...I have a desire to spend every minute I can on the lake catching and teaching others about Crappie fishing."
