Michael Kuo at mushroomexpert.com says that Trametes versicolor, unlike Chicken of the Woods, "has the dubious distinction of being the only member of the forest fungal fowl community not named for the full bird, but a feathery fraction."

Dusk Settling In At The Stacie Bennett Place, Adair County -- I like to make return visits throughout the year to see what new "toys" Stacie has put on display at his place. This old Dodge Truck has been repositioned and I must say I quite like its new location.
