Today starts several days of rain in unseasonably warm temperatures here in south central Kentucky. Our neighbors who are restoring Columbia's historic Field House, Sybille and Jukka Tuuha, share what it looks like in Canada when moisture is accompanied by freezing temperatures. Sybille is pictured at SaugeenShores, Sand Dunes of Southampton in Ontario. They will be back in Columbia soon for more work on the house and recording at Red Brick Studios.

ColumbiaMagazine.com hopes to hear that educators are jumping on the nomination of our schools for the 2020 DON'T QUIT! Campaign, sharing why our schools deserve to be awarded a brand new, taxpayer free, fitness center. In schools, studies show that physical activity improves academic achievement, increases confidence and self-esteem, reduces discipline problems, cuts absenteeism, and fosters better interpersonal relationships. Three Kentucky elementary or middle schools will win a fitness center. Educators may visit www.natgovfit.org to download the simple nomination form.
