Daffodil Watch 2020: first blooms discovered

We have a winner of the first blossoms discovered in 2020 - bright yellow Daffodils at the entrance of the home of Larry Russell and Sheila Bryant. The flowers survived the first snow and were drinking in the bits of sunshine today, Saturday, February 8, 2020. Comments | Permalink

Turkey Vulture roost on City property

Buzzard Roost in the city - A flock of what looks to be dozens of Turkey Vultures on the Foust property/now City property on Burkesville Street in Columbia. With a long lens, photos make it appear they are the Turkey kind of vultures with red heads - a welcome sight - because their counterparts, the black vultures, are a huge danger to calves, small pets, and even humans.
