At Columbia's United States Post Office

Whether one has a letter to drop in the mail or not, it's good to stop by Columbia's United States Post Office to enjoy the look and sweet scent of these beautiful bushes all along the front of the building. They've been blooming for a week now since this picture was taken and likely the weather will have made them history for another year.

Be the end to child abuse

The sign says it all - let's "be the end to child abuse. It shouldn't hurt to be a kid!" April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the pinwheels around the courthouse call attention to it. The Lake Cumberland Children's Advisory Center places them each year as a reminder that we have work to do.
