Morning on the farm

This peaceful spring farm scene is on the eastern side of Adair County near the Russell County line.
This week we have taken a look at the western part of Adair County in Miss Vicky's photo from Bliss, earlier we saw the northern edge in Coburg, and this is a look east. Someone needs to head south to check the landscape toward Cumberland County. Comments | Permalink Recovering: First meal on his own after five months

The Carney family is celebrating Bam's continued positive steps toward recovery. His brother Mark shared word that, "Bam is now on a liquid diet and is able to eat jello, broth, and frozen lemon desert. This past Saturday, he was able to feed himself for the first time in 5 months and 7 days. It took him awhile to get the spoon from the dish to his mouth but he did it!
"He was able to get a haircut and shave yesterday and looked so good afterwards that we thought we should post his picture. This is the first picture that we have posted on Facebook since Bam was put in the hospital on December 23, 2019. You can tell through his smile that he is feeling better but we all know he still has a ways to go." Comments | Permalink Evening shadows on the line

As the sun gets low in the sky, shadows grow across Hwy 55 on the Adair/Taylor County line in the community of Coburg, KY. Heading south, to the right is the turn in to Adair County's newest Dollar Store. Ahead on the left is the turn to Kellyville Church. Straight ahead is Columbia, home.
