Burning home required two fire departments

The Adair County Fire Department was called out around noon Saturday, July 18, 2020 to a fire at the home of Mike and Kathy Jones on Pelham Branch Road. A representative of the AFD said the fire possibly started in the attic and the home was a total loss. Breeding Fire Department also assisted in bringing the fire under control. There were 17 firemen on the scene for around 4 hours.

Within minutes of getting the call Saturday, July 19, 2020, Adair County firemen had equipment secured and trucks were pulling out to head into the northern part of the county on Pelham Branch Road.
