Eight-year old Hailey Waggener decided that Churchill the Dog deserved a cake for his 5th birthday, and set about making him something appropriate. A mix of peanut butter and flour served as the "cake", with dog treats and a candle for decoration. In the interest of fairness, puppy Moose got his own cake. Comments | Permalink

Doyle Lloyd, Branch Manager of Community Trust Bank, 1005 Jamestown Street in Columbia, is the closest business neighbor to the new Dairy Queen. He is pictured at the groundbreaking ceremony Friday, July 31, 2020. At Friday's groundbreaking ceremony for the new Dairy Queen of Columbia, local leaders took turns after DQ managers lifted the first shovels.
