Fairy Ring from Marie

Photographer Marie Freeman in the Breeding, KY area, writes, "These mushrooms form almost a perfect circle I removed the ones inside the fence because I was afraid of poison with my pets. I find it fascinating the folklore with Fairy Ring mushrooms. Of course since science has proven different. I have yet to find a Keebler elf. :-) If I would’ve allowed to stay they would’ve gotten much bigger. But I really don’t want the spores in my yard. I never would attempt to eat a Fairy Ring mushroom, too hard to identify a non-poisonous. I enjoy fungus. But I respect it too. More at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy_ring ." Keep the chimneys

I still do a double take when I pass by and glance up to admire the old Hurt/Foust place and see only blackened chimneys where it burned down. This is a view of the back side of the house before the fire. Fire Chief Glasgow said they aimed high power water hoses at the chimneys from their fire trucks to see if they'd crumble but they stayed strong. That's a sign.
