Everyone who joined the Adair County Extension Homemakers last week through Saturday received a "goodie bag" which included gifts donated by UK Healthcare, Lake Cumberland District Health Department, TJ Samson Hospital and Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (October is Breast Cancer Awareness month). Membership dues to join the Adair County Extension Homemakers are $10 annually for either Club membership or mailbox membership. Anyone can be a member. For more information about Extension Homemakers, call Sharon Harris, County President at 270-378-0548, or call the Adair County Extension Office at 270-384-2317. The Adair County Tourism Commission has been planning for many months to bring crowds to Adair County for the Crappie USA tournament happening on Green River Lake this weekend. On Saturday, October 24, 2020 the big prize, $125,000 will be awarded. Comments | Permalink

This year's Kentucky Proud Beer Series begins Oct. 28. Each participating brewery will give away commemorative Kentucky Proud and Kentucky Guild of Brewers branded pint glasses and event posters to the first 100 customers purchasing its limited release Kentucky Proud beer. Comments | Permalink
