An updated map from the National Weather Service in Louisville, released in the afternoon briefing, shows the area solidly in the Ice Storm Warning. As temperatures drop this evening, precipitation is expected to be a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow. Mike Keltner says, "I urge everyone to stay off the roadways when the ice begins." Ramen is cheap, but it doesn't have to be plain. Saute a mushroom or some protein, and some aromatics like onion, celery, garlic and ginger before adding water or broth to cook the noodles. When the noodles are cooked, throw a handful of fresh spinach into the serving bowl before pouring the broth and noodles over the top to get bright, just-cooked greens. Add a fried egg, or a hard boiled egg, or garnish with scallions, sesame seeds, kimchi, corn, radish, or whatever else is waiting in the fridge. Comments | Permalink

The Adair County Ambulance Service is accepting sealed bids on a 2013 Ford F-350. Sealed bids will be accepted until NoonCT on Friday March 5, 2021, and opened at the regular monthly meeting on March 5, 2021. Truck will be sold as-is and all transfer fees and charges will be paid by winning bidder. Vehicle can be viewed at the Adair County Ambulance Service at 906 Westlake Drive, Columbia, KY, Monday through Friday 8amCT to 4pmCT.
