Tuesday morning report - We are in Hailey's Shelbyville, KY Southside Elementary third grade class at her grandmother's kitchen table in Columbia. Teacher Atkins connected the Zoom meeting, took one look at the background, and said, "Hailey, where in the world are you this morning?" It went well with the only confusion being the time change - her first class began at 7:30amET/6:30amCT - hard for a little one to keep up with. Hard for a grandmother to keep up with, too! Billy Joe Fudge's Kentucky Color presentation - Their Home - reminded me of this place visited with my mother-in-law Audrey Waggener years ago. The little house that sat under this Cedar tree among scattered Daffodils is still there in my memory and was the home of her dear friend Ina. Comments | Permalink

A snack served out in the sun was meant for residents Smokey Blue, at right, and Mama Cat, center. However, looking back as I headed into the house, I saw there was a guest cat, timid and waiting for possible leftovers. The guest cat spotted me trying to take more food out and ran - it was evident by its bony small body that food is needed. Hope it comes again. Comments | Permalink
