City Council April meeting

The Columbia City Council met in the basement of City Hall to allow social distancing for the April 7, 2021 meeting. Pictured from left are Council members Robert Flowers and Mark Harris, City Clerk Rhonda Loy, Mayor Pamela Hoots, and Council members Craig Dean, Linda Waggener and Sharon Payne. Council member Ronald Rogers and City Attorney Derrick Helm attended virtually. Also present were Columbia Police Chief Jr Murphy, Gas Department Director Jerry Watson, members of the media and Jason Rector. Birds of Kentucky: Wood Ducks

A pair of wood ducks, spotted at Long Run Park. All About Birds says of the species, "Wood Ducks pair up in January, and most birds arriving at the breeding grounds in the spring are already paired. The Wood Duck is the only North American duck that regularly produces two broods in one year." Comments | Permalink
