Lou Ann writes, "Here's proof I come from a long line of fair bears. This was in my Great-grandmother Miriam Gore's items. The shell is inscribed "Columbia Fair" and is dated 1909. She would have been six and I'm sure this was a great prize to her then.
Her son, Lenwood (Dagwood) Gore worked the Adair County Fair. Her grandson, Charles, great granddaughter Lou Ann and great great granddaughter, Katie, would be a part of the Russell County Fair.
