Cruisers get technology upgrade

Installation of new computers in all the Sheriff's cruisers was completed this week. Each car was equipped with a Panasonic Tough Book, license scanners and printer. This will allow deputies to do a large portion of their work directly from their cars. Comments | Permalink

Abe Lincoln statue in Prestonsburg

A replica of the statue of President Abraham Lincoln from the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, was moved earlier this year to the Middle Creek National Battlefield outside Prestonsburg, KY.
The statue had been removed from the office of Eric Conn, the Kentucky lawyer who defrauded the Social Security system of more than half a billion dollars. Comments | Permalink
